Ok, ok… I know it’s not beef, but, it’s a favorite of mine! Grandma always had these ready for us. Just 3 ingredients. Crispy, golden perfection without a lot of carbs.. I have made them with pork rind crumbs in place of the crackers for completely no carb option. They were still tasty and texture was good but be prepared for skillet popping- At first I thought someone threw pop-it’s in there!!!
This 3 Ingredient Salmon Patties recipe is the perfect quick and budget-friendly meal. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these easy salmon patties come together in minutes with just a few simple ingredients—perfect for busy weeknights, quick lunches, fish Friday, or a simple homemade comfort dish.
My personal favorite side dish is cottage cheese and lots of lemon, but grandma often served these with Mac and cheese and a side of baked beans, and I gotta say the juice from the beans running onto the Pattie’s… it oddly goes together!!!
Salmon Patties
Ingredients
1 can 14–15 oz salmon, drained
1 large egg
½ cup crushed saltine crackers
Instructions
Prepare the Salmon
Drain the canned salmon well. If boned, be sure to separate.
Place it in a bowl and gently break it apart with a fork.
Mix the Ingredients
Add the egg and crackers to the bowl.
Stir until everything is evenly combined and the mixture holds together.
Shape the Patties
Form the mixture into 6 small patties or 4 medium patties.
Cook the Patties
Heat a lightly oiled skillet over medium heat.
Cook patties 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and heated through.
Serve
Serve warm with lemon wedges, a fresh salad, or a dill dipping sauce.
Seasoning: your favorite seasoning (dill, old bay, cajun) can be added but these are delicious on their own with just the bit of salt from the saltines.
