The kind of meal that smells like Grandma’s kitchen and keeps everyone hovering around the stove.
Beefy Onion Mushroom Tips & Noodles
Ingredients
2 lbs beef tips (sirloin tips or stew beef)
1 packet Lipton Beefy Onion Soup Mix
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
(or 1 cup fresh sliced mushrooms + 1 cup beef broth for from-scratch option)
8 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced (optional but recommended)
2 cups beef broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
12 oz egg noodles
Salt to taste
Fresh parsley (optional garnish)
Instructions
1️⃣ Sear the Beef
Heat oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Season beef lightly with salt and pepper.
Sear beef tips 3–4 minutes per side until browned (don’t overcrowd — do in batches if needed).
2️⃣ Build the Flavor
Add mushrooms to the skillet and sauté 3–4 minutes.
Sprinkle in the Lipton Beefy Onion Soup mix.
Stir in:
Cream of mushroom soup
Beef broth
Worcestershire sauce
Garlic powder
Bring to a gentle simmer.
3️⃣ Simmer Low & Slow
Cover and simmer 20–30 minutes until beef is tender.
If sauce gets too thick, add a splash of broth.
4️⃣ Cook the Noodles
Boil egg noodles according to package directions. Drain.
5️⃣ Serve
Spoon rich beef and mushroom gravy over warm buttered noodles.
Garnish with parsley if you’re feeling fancy.
🥘 Slow Cooker Option
Add everything except noodles to slow cooker.
Cook LOW 6–8 hours or HIGH 3–4 hours.
Serve over cooked noodles.
🥄 Farm Store Upgrade Tip
For our Leeper Meats crowd:
Use sirloin tips instead of stew beef for extra tenderness.
Add a splash of heavy cream at the end for a richer gravy.
Stir in a tablespoon of sour cream right before serving for a stroganoff vibe.
Good beef, simple ingredients, and a hot oven — that’s farm kitchen cooking.
